Friday tries to have a stable relationship

Horse puns ahoy :disco: took me a moment to interpret the thread title mind :eyes:

I'm singing along to Tove Lo in my dining room office like a demented lunatic and feeling a little HOARSE.

true story, not just in it for the pun.

and my deadline is so tight that I don't have time to make coffee :(

Why is everyone hating on January? February is the worst month by far.

It’s just a continuation of January with Valentine’s Day thrown in to make us single people feel like shit.

I really can’t choose between the two. It’s really just one long damp dark tunnel.

At least February is shorter. And closer to spring.

Also it being lighter in the evenings really helps too. For the first time ever I think I've really struggled with how early it gets dark this winter.

Valentine’s Day isn’t exactly going to be great for couples either this year. Oh, yet another day sat watching the telly with a takeaway? Wow such thrill, many romance

February always feels like getting through - after two 31-day months, we get a 28 day quicky that feels like it gets us to March in a jiffy.

Yes I’m FED UP with this winter, hoping February gives us an EARLY SPRING. Sunshine and 15 degrees please.

Ethel has been assessed and is hopefully getting released from hospital later today. They are happy for her to return home with Old Ernie who has been staying with me this week and they are getting a care package set up, so someone should be going in 3 times per day. The old fella is elated as he was worried that they were going to keep her in for the weekend. I will try and keep an eye on them in between.

I'm pretty sad tonight. It's been a long hard week at work and I really just wanted to wind down with a glass of wine and a Scandi noir on Netflix.

but it was a colleague's leaving drinks so I ended up on a 3 hour zoom call. I was awkward and antisocial and left with a strong feeling that they will never really get me. it's probably my fault cos I'm shit at relaxing and sharing my true personality on video calls. but they all seem tight, even though some have never met each other, and I'm quite sure they're all like: this guy is not one of us.

it's put quite a cloud over my Friday evening really. I know I have a lot to offer in terms of my personality but sometimes when i'm in my head or around people I don't know well I really can't project it at all and just end up feeling very... outside.

I think that its really easy to over-focus on yourself on a video call, or any social situation really. Everyone else was probably too focused on how they were being perceived to be judging you. Feeling outside of course sucks, but chances are nobody else would have seen you that way
