I know natural disasters aren't Moopy bait, but these pretty rough and the death toll is rising fast. I presume @Apocalypt Flyer is OK, although I'm read he's lives in Liechtenstein now.
2004!That looks absolutely terrible, those poor people. Reminds me of Boscastle in the UK (which must be well over a decade ago now), which just entirely washed buildings away.

For a natural disaster in one of the most developed countries in the world, that death toll alone is insane.80 dead, 1,300 MISSING

Goodness. I can't remember anything like this in Europe, unless I am being forgetful, in recent history. I mentioned Boscastle above but that seems to pale in comparison.
Hopefully there will be a continent wide response, including aid - this is borderless. I think the UK has already offered assistance, so hopefully something or some people will be on their way if requested.

Unbelievably no one died in the Boscastle flood.

Meanwhile, flood warnings for my neck of the woods for the next 48 hours. Up to 200l of rain per m²![]()

Right on cue, this is 15 miles from where I live.
We are good here, though. Lots of rain but not catastrophic amounts like 15 miles south-east.
Is there no danger of flooding where you are, then?
