I still think "I Won't Kneel" is the best dance song for about ten years. It's just so unbelievably magnificent.

i saw them twice when they were touring this album. first time was mud and rain, second was brixton and silver balloons with @Mats and @funky?
both occasions it was really really euphoric.

So this album is 15 years old and they just released a deluxe. I'm revisiting it now and it remains a truly special album. Some of it is a bit LOUD for me but everything fits together so well - an ode to early 80s new wave when punk and synth collided, it's like Blondie, David Bowie and Kate Bush had a baby. With a bit of glam rock thrown in!

the two big Saint Saviour singles and the Will Young and Bryan Ferry collabs are just all perfect pop songs.

I didn’t listen to Keep Lovin You properly - I thought it was a Paper Romance demo! They’re very similar. Maybe that’s why it was left off originally.

Nope you didn’t imagine it…. Remixes and rarities basically. They were quite prolific around this time and were releasing all sorts of stuff, there was a double album as well which was more of a compilation but had new stuff on as well
