It’s just that once they had a hit with a female lead film they would talk of sequels but refuse to pay any more when male actors would easily make double for a sequel to a hit film. Not sure what Whoopi’s salary was on Sister Act 2.

it was a bit of a flop when it was released, wasn’t it? And I think it became a hit on the Disney channel and sort of grew its audience over time
