Happy Guinness Friday

I’m interviewing all day.

“So, what makes you want to work here?”

“My contract is ending.”

Kill me now.

Ah, Amateur Drinkers Night #1 of the year. Good luck everyone.

The only day that's worse is Angry Men In Shirts Having Their Christmas Night Out which usually falls in the 2nd Friday in December.

Hi Moopy.

I'm off work today and being far too sociable.
Lunch with a friend.
Dog walk with another friend.
Drinks and dinner with other friends.

And I hope to be home and in bed by 9pm because I'm working tomorrow then going to a murder mystery dinner.

I'm exhausted already.

I'd respect the honesty. :D

Reminds me of one of my favourite Boomer memes

Far better than lying about how you've always dreamed of being fucked by capitalism without lube or love.

Good afternoon, and happy Frog On The Floor Friday! In charge again today, can't be arsed again :tongueout:

I always go for the honest ones too! I just hate it when they give you nothing. I’m very much a “if anything you should be interviewing ME” type of person.

MAKE ME BELIEVE DAMMIT

Do you really believe it when a candidate tells you it’s their PASSION and that your company values SPEAK TO THEIR OWN BELIEFS? :eyes:

I’ve worked for the same company for years but remember before joining walking out mid interview somewhere else as I found it just too ridiculous to continue with. It reached the point where after I gave a thorough reply they said “would you like to elaborate on that answer?” “ no, that was my answer”. When an awful, totally non relevant role play scenario was suggested I just ended it there.

Do people still ask 'where do you see yourself in five years' in interviews?

DEAD.

"If I was to offer you the job now, would you take it?" Well, let me see, I've applied, had an initial telephone interview and then travelled here today to talk to you face to face for an hour....no, I won't, fuck off.

Last time I had an interview nineteen years ago I was asked that question and replied honestly that I had another interview on Monday morning so I told him I'd ask whether I could have the weekend to think it over. He rang me on Tuesday to tell me I'd done really well, thankyou for coming, but another candidate seemed a better fit so they'd offered it to them. I'd already accepted the job I interviewed for the day before so I wasn't bothered.

On my first day at the other (this) job my mobile rang and it was that man ringing to offer me the job and could I start immediately because the other candidate had walked out after three days. Erm, sorry pal :D

They’re playing the worst kind of ‘traditional’ Irish music in this restaurant and it’s making me want to kick @dUb in the teeth.

Plus if you want to kick an Irish person, @dUb's flatmate is the perfect choice
