TFW you have to take annual leave to pick up a parcel because the Royal Mail took so long to tell you that they had it that it's at risk of being sent back and the hours are so short you can't leave it til the weekend...

You really ought to get a blue light card. I've gone out twice this summer with my great nieces - 20% off for me, and they eat free at Prezzo.

Teachers are eligible for it now, so I really struggle to see why you shouldn't.

Oh yes I have it now as we're eligible! Although they've taken nandos off :evil:
Have you heard of Jam Donut? It's another discount place where you buy vouchers and get money back. It takes a bit longer but it does add up. You can use it in a lot of supermarkets, restaurants etc. So tonight I bought a £28 voucher and got £3 back. You then use that voucher (essentially a gift card) to pay the bill.
 
My mum has one and it's great! We're off to Legoland in November for silly money! They only offer very few dates per year but it's not like you need to go that often!

I've never heard of it.

You know that Blue Light does 3.5% at Tesco, Morrisons and Asda as well though? Same thing, you have to buy a voucher which is discounted. Asda has an extra 1% currently as well.

Yes I've got another work one which often does just a little bit more, so I use that one mostly. Literally everything I buy these days I check blue light, jam donut or my work perks one first. Got a good discount on our ikea purchases recently!
 
Also worth looking at the ATG theatre group's Local Heroes scheme as well. I've saved well over £50 on tickets for the pantomime here for four of us, and over £30 each on tickets for Kinky Boots next year. You often have to go midweek, but that's no hardship if I'm saving that much. And I've noticed that if you check back closer to the dates, often they will add in extra dates, presumably if the shows aren't selling well.
