almost twenty years on, is this ONCE DERIDED album cut from Confessions considered any more favourably?

personally I love it and always have - great hook, massive production, insane lyrics. it's just SO FUN! almost a Madonna classique.

Worst track from the album and the only track lower than an 8/10.

lyrically I think DORKDONNA peaked with this one. the Texas golf jibe :disco: and of course the tour adlibs...

JUST GO TO TEXAS
AND YOU CAN SUCK GEORGE BUSH'S DICK!!!

Anyway, it’s NOT MUCH COP, but as an album track I can live with it.

The worst thing on the album BY a MILE

There's nothing wrong with Push, so I don't know why that's being dragged into this conversation

In all seriousness though, this song is actually nicer than I remember, the hook is splendid too. But I agree with the sentiment there were better tracks on the album.

I would say it's miles better than: Push, Like it or Not, possibly Isaac too. that last third of confessions really falls off hard. no fun at all!

I opened this thread thinking it was about the VH1/Big Brother star :(

You know what the real underrated banger from Confessions is?

How HIGH :disco:

Push, Like It Or Not, Isaac and How High all have something interesting to say. I Love New York does not.

Yeah but 'worst' is relative I mean it's a masterpiece of an album, so whatever.

I'm not sure How High really has anything to say! as a rumination on fame it's incredibly nothingy and doesn't reveal anything at all really.

that's my problem with all of the songs on the album that aim for deep. Ray of Light, or even Music, it ain't. there's nothing being said. it's just a throwback dance album! don't give message!
