This is not a comedy, but after watching it, I can see how they managed to sneak Rose Byrne into 'musical or comedy' at the Globes as the scene where the hamster runs out into the road and gets flattened is the most I've laughed at the cinema in the past 12 months :D

A fantastic performance, and I really liked the editing choice to not show the daughter's face until the end and keep the focus very much on Linda.

This was amazing but I never, ever want to see it again. Talk about a 2-hour stress nightmare!

I mostly didn't care for this. Love an anti-hero but there just wasn't enough to the central character to make me give a shit.

I thought the daughter's (audio) performance was appalling. And I don't get why they didn't show her face until the end. She wasn't THAT ugly.

(I jest - I thought this was a strong way to end it, but did wonder if the pay off was worth it against the somewhat gimmicky approach for the whole film leading up to it?)

The stuff with Conan added nothing for me, and her from The Tourist could have stayed at home and given us the 10 minutes back.

I enjoyed the twist of her being married to Christian Slater though.

5/10. I await a Rose Byrne vehicle that matches her talents.

The most frustrating scene was that cunt who wouldn’t sell her the wine. In what world would it take more than 2 mins to put that through the till?

Anyway, this was another film good for positive confirmation for people who don’t want children.
