One of my most treasured possessions is my Montblanc fountain pen, not a mother's day prezzie but I saved up for a year to buy it. Shame I don't write cheques any more because all it's used for nowadays is writing Christmas cards.

I've got my mum a sampler brownie and blondie box with lots of lovely cakeys in it. I also bought myself a box because no bugger else is going to. And I bought spawn a box too because she's already the size of a bus and could do with a sugar rush.

She's doing really well and not nearly as fat as I expected (FaceTime must add 50lbs or something). Her bump's all at the front and her boobs are humungous but from the back you can't tell she's pregnant, which is how I was with her. She's already getting Braxton Hicks contractions and whining about it constantly but she'd whine about having nothing to whine about. There's still nearly 12 weeks till her due date. She had a 4D scan on Friday, that's weird. Some of the pictures just look like freaky aliens but some are just like a born baby. There's also a couple of videos and she opens her eyes on one of them and sticks her tongue out a bit which is quite discombobulating to witness. I didn't know they opened their eyes in the womb!
She nudged me today when I put my hand on spawn's stomach.
