Listened to it last night on the drive home from work. Loved it!

Imagine you're ABBA, minding your own business in your palatial log cabin deep in the forests where they grow Billy bookcases, and Madonna comes knocking on your door with a proposition and one of the greatest pop songs of all time on her Walkman.

This was an awesome insight into the making of the song, thanks for sharing! Between this and that interview with Nile Rodgers, I really wish she'd do a full retrospective of all her hits. It's really great to hear her talk about they were made.

I appreciate that she's taken the time out to get together with a previously collaborator to discuss this. She should do more.

Song Exploder is a great idea for a podcast, but every time I’ve scanned through the list there’s only about 1% of the songs I’ve heard of AND have any interest in, so I’m excited to listen to this

I heard on an ad during 99% Invisible that Song Exploder was also going to have Book Exploder episodes in the same feed - who thought THAT was a good idea?! I mean the idea of Book Exploder is good but that must be an even more niche audience

I enjoyed that. I’m glad she came across as serious and “music-y” in it. I half expected her not to for some reason although I know full well she’s totally involved and in charge when working.

So Confessions has some of the songs from the film or do they remain unreleased? The fact that she says most of them came easy to her makes me quite excited to hear them. I also laughed at her firing the driver comment. I wonder why he was so nervous and sweating buckets
