This probably does deserve its own thread, both given how significant it is, and that it enables people on Moopy to easily opt out of seeing this discussion should they so wish.

Big news today, terror attack on synagogue in Manchester, 2 dead on Yom Kippur.

Manchester synagogue: Two dead in Manchester synagogue attack, with suspect also believed to have been killed - police - BBC News

Not starting a new topic, because it's all just so very toxic. But obviously this isn't the answer and is deeply unpleasant, but I'm hardly surprised either.

I used to live up that way, it's incredibly multicultural and was always a very harmonious place to live.

The BBC have a picture of a guy, who I'm afraid appears to be Muslim. If he's not then he's seriously pretending to be.

It really does look like a leafy suburb. Not that, that changes anything. As you say senseless and utterly unhelpful.

It took armed police 7 minutes to shoot the attacker from the first call. 😳

Aren't there always security alerts at London stations? Particularly following a significant incident.
