Melodifestivalen: Schlager Boiler Survivor - ROUND ONE

For my latest survivor, I'm celebrating those golden and all-too-rare moments when a beloved old baggage triumphs over the odds and unites enough ageing homosexuals to power into the finals, inevitably on her way to a 9-12th place finish.

Going from 2010-2021, arguably the era that many of these ladies largely stopping being the driving force behind Melfest. Finalists only, but I'm also throwing in one of my trademark WILDCARDS in the form of Dame Anna of Book, who we all know would easily have qualified for the finals if not for the unfortunate incident wherein she was dramatically disqualified the day before her performance when it emerged her song had been nicked wholesale from an old Moldovan national selection.

I'm also including Helena Paparizou, who is possibly slightly above the Schlager Boiler label but fuck it, it's a great song.
