The Scottish schools go back middle of August but have been off for around 3 weeks already.

September. My friends have recently moved to Arizona and I just found out that the school calendar is really different over there, I just assumed everyone did something more or less the same!

It changes state by state here. When I was a kid my summer break usually started the last week of May and ended in the middle of august. My sister lives in Arizona too and I think I her kids go back pretty soon?

I like the lack of morning and evening traffic when schools are off.

Mornings yes, but i find the evening traffic is worse. People ferrying their kids around to shops and activities and family days out.

Don't really care about traffic anyway because i'm too busy cycling past traffic jams
