Looks like they've learned nothing regarding the visuals from the 2019 film.

This was quite… bad. Very weak. I generally didn’t give a crap about Mufasa’s back story. The songs were, OK? But the voice cast were mostly actors who were not singers. Stop making musicals with actors who can simply just about hold their own at karaoke, but wouldn’t pass the first stage of any actual musical audition.

I will not be watching this but from the trailer it appeared to be saying that Mufasa was a usurping nobody and that Scar was the real heir to the throne all along?

That Brothaargh song is no less DIABOLICAL in full form, and yeah, I don't get why on earth they've cast mediocre vocalists. Especially the kids where it's not even slightly understandable stunt casting.
