Now I know Tim Burgess has made a sprawling 22 track double, I'm interested!

Plain CD of Beth Orton was £13. Sorry but not paying that for a normal CD. There's new copies on eBay for £11 including postage. This is how the shops kill themselves.

Same pricing for the Editors album, and Amazon no better as well. £12 to £13 does seem to be getting more common. A hard sell for a flimsy standard digipak CD.

I guess inflation is hitting. It's interesting tho' - when I was organising my CD collection a couple of months ago, I had price tags still stuck on a lot of CDs. I paid £13.99 for Manic Street Preachers' "This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours" in 1998. And yet I turned my nose up at £13 in 2022. Conditioned to artificially low prices?

Yes, the years of cheap cds from cdwow, 101cd.com and Amazon even being pretty cheap spoilt us but also meant I bought a lot of shite I didn’t really need and probably didn’t want that much.

I clearly remember going into Our Price and Dannii’s ‘Girl’ was £15.99 in ‘98.
