Sat at my desk ready to take on the world, but I get the feeling people will still be off until next week. I want to be capitalist scum.

"Did you have a good break?"
"It was all right"
"Mine would have been better if I hadn't got a cold part way through"
"So did I" (subtext BUT I'M NOT FUCKING MOANING ABOUT IT]
*departs*

I actually don't mind being in. Nice short week to ease back into working gently rather than going headfirst into a Monday.

Going to drag my obese ass to the gym seeing as no cunt is answering emails.

Still off til Monday but already been to the gym. Next stop is to clear the kitchen of rubbish food to the food bank/ my parents/ my belly and do a decent food shop.

I'm annoyed the thread title isn't the other way round.

Stone dead on my way into work. Apart from one person at a bus stop, not another soul on foot until I got close to Central station. Glasgow still takes 2nd January seriously, it seems.

If you think that is fixed with AT THE VERY LEAST a comma between Thursday and new, let alone the space before the comma that is already there...

*has grammar breakdown*

Oh so you're keeping your PET in our overcrowded office when the other office becomes available again so you can spend all day YAPPING to him, are you? QUELLE SURPRISE!

Well, the trouble is the word "huns"

"New Thursday, new me, huns" reads like a list. I thought skipping the comma would help with the interpretation.

I'll try again....

OK, I've had another go but now people will be wondering the exact point at which big ron caught the gay.

With a bit of thought, I could probably pinpoint the date and time if you want.

Oh no.

On my way back to Edinburgh and the bus driver has just come over the tannoy to announce that there is a problem with the bus and he’s pulled over to the hard shoulder.

All I want to do is get home. :(

Oh shit! Where are you?

On the motorway, I think somewhere near Livingston. He is trying to reset the bus, whatever that means.

I see your terrible cold didn't stop you from going on the usual INTERMINABLE SHOPPING EXPEDITIONS during WORKING HOURS though. I am going to give MADAM WHAT FOR this year even if it does end up getting me the SACK, it's my NEW YEAR RESOLUTION

Went gym and felt like I was fine physically, got smug about it, now absolutely fucked. Might have a nap.

Back into work in an hour. Can't wait to hear what a shit Christmas our version of Droopy Drawers (we call her Happiness Thief) has had. :square:

Lounging around debating whether this fucking annoying tickly cough is too bad to go to the cinema.

If you’re coughing at all I would say don’t go. The other patrons will be annoyed at you for that!

Tree down, tits out, time for a fucking salad and to write a shiny new essay.

Took a couple of night nurse last night and slept for 13 hours. Still feel a bit WAVEY in the post office queue. Gonna treat myself to a Percy Ingle after. The diet starts tomorrow!

Exchange with my dickhead of a manager today:

"Did you get an answer to that email you sent to Resource?"
"When I sent them the fir--"
"I'm asking you a question."

:D!

I'm so pleased that despite spending a fortune on refurbishing the ancient sash windows in the office we still get the smell of BURNT OFFERINGS from the TAKEAWAYS at this time of day. SO MUCH FOR THAT
