do we have any fans of this mythical French synth/electropop duo? put out one album in 2016, briefly toured, broke up (both friendship and band) and later developed a cult following. now there's an anniversary edition out on vinyl and streaming containing everything they made.
the sound is... Mediterranean, beach at sunset, covered in sand and positively dripping in melancholy...
Toi et Moi is their only charting single (#66 France) and the most immediate banger on the album.
immaculate synth work!
the title track Recto Verso (this is an edit for the video) might be the best and dreamiest song on the record...
most of the songs stretch to 5 or 6 minutes but never outstay their welcome. the whole thing is bliss. other than Toi et Moi I only got into the album recently - I can't wait to soundtrack many a future summer with it.
a hard recommend for all of the classy dance/disco/groove girlies. @FetchFugly @Dark Carnival @funky @OutSynk
