Pink - Never Gonna Not Dance Again

I’ve heard this several times without realising it was Pink. It was so clearly written for any available living human that there’s nothing that distinguishes it as hers.

It always reminds me that I need to get some beige wallpaper for that empty, featureless void I recently purchased.

I'm not sure, but you'll surely find something :eyes:

With the similar name to a well known album moment, I hope this doesn't effect any of the Sugababes remaining stationary sales down at Camden market where Mutya's mum sells it.

This is holding up quite well for her so far. Looks set to be her biggest US Radio hit since What About Us in 2017.

Streaming is absolutely killing its chart prospects though. It's weird, Pink has had big streaming hits in the past so it's not like her audience doesn't have access to the format. Is it just that she's not getting on the right playlists?

UK run to date: 46-64-61-75-46-47.

Is it not possible that people simply like this song less than the radio committees think we should?

Ooh actually it finally cracked the UK Streaming charts at #174 today. Maybe an Ava Max-esque #1 by next July is on the cards. :disco:

Didn’t this make #1 on the Airplay Chart? It’s quite something when it’s a relative flop otherwise.

Take out Xmas though and it’s not a huge flop - it’s hard for female artists at this point in their career to get good streaming, whereas radio is still more receptive. Hanging in just outside the top 40 isn’t bad in the current chart climate.

As VOR said it’s #174 on Spotify today which is great - was finally added to Hot Hits this week, which shows the impact simply being added down low on one playlist does for a song. It’s a consistent feature in the Apple top 60 so combined she has a shot at the top 40 if it continues on.

Obviously the sales chart means less and less, but it has shown tenacity there

2 - 10 - 12 - 10 - 16 - 16 - 5 - 7- 3 - 8

The charts have moved on, but she clearly has a market.

To be fair she’s only had three top ten hits in the UK in the past decade, and one was a feature really on a Rag n Bone man song, so she’s hardly been a huge singles artist lately.

this may all be very true but you may also be very banned if you continue posting positively about this shit stain of a song. it's the most obnoxious and braindead supermarket muzak I've ever heard.

I have all the goodwill in the world for Pink having a sustained career but this song really is the worst.

Well I'm doing my bit by streaming this once bi-weekly. It ROCKS (we're all gunna start a fight!!!!11111)

This is what Spotify recommended next:

who would choose to listen to this?

I‘m sorry y’all, but I’ve totally come round to this. Yes it’s like A Public Affair for the straights but that final minute is rather CATCHY :disco:

I do agree that it's very bland and mumsy but I just find P!nk's continued chart presence rather COMFORTING in an otherwise strange and unfamiliar landscape of drill tracks and tiktok dances. I'll be quite sad when she's finally shipped off to the legacy act hinterlands.

See I'm on the complete opposite side of that. I love TikTok. If it hadn't been for it I wouldn't be familiar with most of what's in the charts these days.
And to be honest some of the dances/trends are fun :shy:

I hope they keep working on making this a hit instead of moving onto something else when the album comes out. It's making a lot of strides on pop radio here. Tiktok will follow and then the streams.

#36 in the midweeks, and given its increase on Spotify it has a shot of holding on, though likely just outside at this rate. Still, a new peak this many weeks later is a decent result.

Glad it got there, it’s spent long enough just outside. #20 on US pop radio too. It’s done decently now, time for Trustfall to now do it’s thing.
