mine is big pop girl-leaning with a few choice jazzy and R&B cuts

Sadly mine is on Apple Music as Spotify doesn’t have December Will Be Magic Again and I refuse to make a Christmas playlist without it.

I've been blasting Ana Gasteyer's Sugar & Booze album. It's so fun and festive, with less of the boring over-done hymns that marr most other Christmas albums.

Mine's pretty standard really, particularly the start which looks like a NOW Christmas album, but there's a few obscure faves further down the list (hello Queen Sarah McLachlan and the best Christmas album EVER).

I'm quite particular also - no Shakin Stevens but Slade and Wizzard for nostalgia

I also have specific favourites of classics.. Toni Braxton does the definitive "Christmas Time Is Here", while I'm very fond of Babs's version of "I'll Be Home For Christmas". And there's so many good versions of "Oh Holy Night" but nobody does it like Celine!

I really should figure out spotify. Yes, I've seen them used this way on the ASFM phenomena, but it never dawned on me I could make playlist too, that's got me quite excited!

I see Céline's Holy Night and don't understand why this isn't stealing focus instead:



It totally deserves equal billing with the likes of Leona and Clarkson if not Mariah.

And rather than continue, I really do recommend Diana Ross A Very Special Season. It's orchestral and really captures something missing in even some of the originals.

having studiously avoided ANY and ALL christmas songs by Sia (I truly cannot think of a voice less suited to festive joy), I had the great misfortune of hearing one on radio the other day. I think it was Santa's Coming For Us. imagine my confusion and horror at hearing the wig HONK all over a REGGAE JAM about hot chocolate and Christmas cheer. I really felt physically repulsed. how has she inexplicably extended the career she never even wanted by becoming a Christmas staple with this?!
