Ravyn Lenae - Saturday Night

Obsessed with each and every one of the four songs she's released so far, but Saturday Night is definitely the most single worthy. Although I personally like "Bobby" the most so far.
 
I love Saturday Night but Bobby is my favourite as well. It deserved more shine than being tucked behind Reputation.
 
This is really good, she just sounds so confident dipping in and out of all the styles:



In & Out is the focus track and bops in that alt direction she's been exploring.

The closer Let Us In is quite wild :disco:
 
Gosh what a great album. That run from Reputation to Find It One Day is gorgeous. It's been really nice hearing her sound take shape.

Also, am I the only one getting Janet vibes? Ravyn 's vocals are also softspoken and she seems to favor similar melodies and runs.

Wish You Well and Find It In One Day especially are quite Janet I think.

quite a few songs on Hypnos give me Janet, specifically the ethereal/island vibes Damita Jo iteration.

Wish You Well is the star so far for me but it's a little 'obvious' so others will definitely emerge.
 
LOVE Saturday Night. Might actually fuck with the album even though I wasn't keen on Love Me Not
 
In & Out and Potential are the only ones I'm struggling to get into. But the rest of the album is bingeable from start to finish. "Let Us In" gives me Robyn vibes a bit.
