I've been enjoying this lady for a little while, but she's just released her first album (well it's a 'mixtape' but come on) so let's have a topic:



This has most of the singles she's released up until now, along with some new stuff and some very sexy cover art :o

Noted for weekend investigation. I can see the Canadian noise-pop axis are tweeting about her and this is always a good sign.
 
Well I've finally listened to the mixtape after Spotify playing some songs here and there and :disco:. It's all very Britney but make it X rated.

Sadly I’m not into the rest of her album cough mixtape, but her collab with LIZ (of noted moopy flop-thread fame “LIZ” :disco:) is v good indeed :disco:

it develops interestingly. quite infectious chorus production and epic bridge that goes on forever. vocals a bit treated for my liking but I think I'll be USING. I'm actually not a Slayyyter fan but more like this could sway me.

she says her new album will be more Gwen and Fergie than Paris Hilton but I'm not hearing that yet!
 
I like it, and its a grower, but it doesn't live up to her best for me (Mine, Candy, Devil, Daddy AF). I hope the new album is inspired by Gwen and Fergie though!

LOVE Clouds and to a lesser extent Trouble Paradise. Do we know when the album’s coming?
 
Troubled Paradise and Clouds are basically the best two pop songs of the YEAR so far. I cannot get ENOUGH!

Troubled Paradise is basically a long lost Girls Aloud song with that 227 line bridge :D and Clouds is the best new sad-banger since Hannah Diamond's Fade Away :disco:
I honestly thought Clouds was a bit SIMPLE on first list, but the more I've listened to it the more it reveals it's charms. I'm actively CRAVING a remix package for it, which must include an extended mix OF COURSE. That outro needs to be at least TEN MINUTES longer :disco:

Do we know if an albam is planned? I've loved everything so far. There's a warm and fuzzy about a-few-years-ago sound to her stuff which helps me like it.
 
I saw some amazing videos on IG Stories of her performing at a club night in NYC last night, and the crowd singing the words to Over This! so loud you literally cannot hear her sing at all :D

Anyway, bottom of my list of today's BUMPER CROP of new releases to listen to as I've heard a lot of it already, but excited to listen through in it's ENTIRETY!
 
Cowboys and Over This! sucked all the excitement out of this one for me. somebody please let me know if there's anything on the level of Clouds ☁️
 
OMG Serial Killer sounds so much like Rock Steady era No Doubt I had to check it wasn't Spotify autoplaying a recent Gwen Stefani song I'd missed.

Butterflies is probably the closest to Clouds. Troubled Paradise remains one of the most toweringly magnificent pure pop songs of recent memory. An absolutely perfect pop vocal in my opinion, and those AD LIBS!

Those were all my highlights. Butterflies is way too short though.
 
It's a bit of a mix of pure pop and pots and pans music isn't it? I really like it all. Self District and Cowboys are my highlights (Cowboys i already knew but hadn't listened to much as was holding out for the album)

new single Out of Time is really good. a bit Weeknd-y but very what Kim should've been doing after Clerty.
