Small Business Saturday (apparently)

Morning.

I woke up because I turned over and the quilt took my water bottle out and crashing on the floor. Annoyingly, could have done with another couple of hours but THERE YOU GO.

Hello my darlings,

Back from a beautifully warm Cancun to a freezing cold Donegal. Was just what the doctor ordered to get away for a few weeks for some sunshine. I think that shall do the job until January when the tan fades.

I've been to see spawn and SoS today. I learned that SoS wants a baby brother so I asked why. "So I can hit him" was the reply. She also kept stabbing Ninny (a pink toy rabbit) with a plastic knife and saying she had to go and wash the blood off him. Not 100% convinced she isn't a little psychopath. Spawn told me she used "dickhead" in the correct context yesterday (stop being a dickhead mummy!) when spawn was winding her up. :D

Whilst I'm finding it somewhat funny she's going to be an absolute nightmare for them in the not too distant future. I made her a chicken sandwich, she said she didn't want it so I said I was taking mine to the table to eat it and I'll take hers too, she can sit with Grandma and eat it. She got up and came over to the table then her dad came out of the kitchen waving a bag of jam doughnuts and told her "eat your butty and you can have a doughnut afterwards". Obviously she only wanted a doughnut then! She didn't eat her butty, dad made her a slice of toast then she got a doughnut despite not eating the chicken butty. I had to bite my tongue.

Small business Saturday my arse. Our town was dead, yet shops like Home Bargains and B&M were crazy busy.

I was expecting town to be awful today based on how much busier it's been every day this week after work, but it's just kind of regular Saturday busy.

Moopy, what's the big deal with Insomnia cookies? We've just had a branch open here (next door to our third Gail's :gross: ), and the queue earlier was pretty much like Pandora on Christmas Eve.

I assume it's just some sort of promo or opening offers, but earlier today there must have been nearly a hundred people in a queue to get in, and there's still a smaller queue now.

I always wake up zzzz tusday hurry hell up hospital be santa pressys long time all good

Massive ligers roxs

Morning girls

I've grown a beard and look like some kind of ANCIENT DERELICT as Madam kindly pointed out to me yesterday

I have truly given up now trying to persuade my mother to go to doctors about her memory problems, she just wants to ignore it so there's nothing more I can do. It just turns into a big row, the sooner i'm back into work and out of here the better

I've seen them on tiktok, lots of "influencers" are rating them. They do look quite good.

Also, why do you have 3 Gail's and we don't even have one :( or a Greg's :(

Write a letter to her GP, explain your worries, how the problems are affecting her and her refusal to engage with you about it. They may be willing to call her in for an "annual healthcheck" without mentioning why.

I eventually had to threaten my mum that if she didn't organise a check up for my dad I'd contact his GP. As it turned out, if I'd threatened her earlier and got him seen earlier he might not have been too far gone for some of the medication. Hindsight is 20-20 but guilt is the gift that just keeps on giving.

If I did that she'd go absolutely crazy, i'd worry about the outcome of taking it that far
