So have you had this chest infection bug?

COUGH COUGH

I presumed the blocked ears were just all sinus related. Had that for three days now too.

Did we all see this new form of covid is very congestion-y and might be evading the tests? I did wonder…

Wasn’t from nose blowing but I lost my hearing during lockdown in one ear and it took weeks to come back (which was freaky) but returned with added tinnitus. So annoying.

I have tinnitus to a greater or lesser degree all the time (hearing damage when I was young) but it always ramps right up when I'm ill. There's a thing you can try which is weird but I've found it helps me a lot.

Put both hands over your ears with your fingers flat on the back of your head, your middle fingers should be just above the base of your skull. Put your index fingers on top of the middle fingers and then "drum" on the middle fingers with your index fingers about 50 times then remove your hands from your ears. The drumming sounds really loud in your head because your ears are covered but once I take my hands away I find my tinnitus reduces or goes away, sometimes for hours.

I'm too scared to share in case I jinx myself. Thank heavens I avoid people so much. I should really see about getting that 3rd jab.

I was exposed last Saturday, I’ve been congested all week, and I’ve tested negative a couple of times…

Cough was pretty much gone by the week but now I've inherited a sore throat and headache.

WHAT IS THIS SHIT?

Is there a test for long covid, or is it just based on length of symptoms?

Pretty sure I now have Long Covid.

Splitting headaches and hard-core fatigue.

Right now it all feels A BIT UNFAIR

The latter bit is how I feel. I’m so fed up. January is shite at the best of times but after a destroyed Christmas, with this fucking appalling weather and not being able to get exercise endorphins, I’m basically suicidal.

Add me to the feeling lethargic and riddled with fatigue group.

I caught a pretty epic flu about a week or so before Christmas, and still wasn’t feeling a hundred percent at Christmas or New Year but because I had plans for all the family to come over here for Christmas and then us head over to Ireland for New Year I battled through and did throughly enjoy it. I planned on coming home, throwing out all the leftover junk food and excess and throwing myself in to a healthy January but it was one of my closest friends Birthdays on Saturday so went out and didn’t get home until 6.30am. Since Sunday I have felt absolutely terrible and was thinking it was a hangover, but I am so tired, can’t be bothered to do anything and am finding myself napping through most of the day along with a hacking cough returning with a vengeance and a banging sore head. :(

I haven’t had any Winter vaccines and don’t even know the situation with them. I don’t have any underlying medical conditions so would assume I am not eligible.

Don't worry Rita. You'll qualify for them due to age rather than health issues from this year :)

I've not had it, god knows how. But a lot of people I know have had it and been bed ridden for well over a week.

Weirdly I felt like I was in for 5 more days of illness at lunch, and now feel fine 😂
