Morning y'all. No getting yr kit off and running around Stonehenge, eh? Although I wonder if that's where our Zu has got to...
 
This time last year I was asleep in the back of my car after watching the sunrise at Stonehenge, glad I did it last year and not this.
 
My focus is waining now, I just want to be in a field off my tits on mushrooms.
 
I must say I do love December, Christmas and the run up to New Year. Living here we don’t get much of a Summer at all, it is usually always pretty dull, dreich, and windy. I understand down South is a different kettle of fish and you seem to have more distinction between seasons.

For me it's not so much the distinction between seasons (I dislike the heat and prefer spring and autumn in general to summer) as just the length of daylight. Going to work and coming home in darkness is just depressing.
 
Mr F had a really weird coincidence today at work. He'd taken a call from a customer needing an appliance repair, sorted out what he could and then transferred the call to a manager in another department who had to authorise the repair. Later on that manager came to his desk and asked whether he used to work in the Prison Service so he said he did and it turned out that the customer he'd helped out used to be one of our Governors at the prison! Mr F hadn't clocked it because both his first and last names are very common.

Yes, that is a good point. I don’t mind dark nights so much, but going out for a run on a dark morning isn’t much fun. I wish I got this bloody op during the Winter time.

As for me, I suffer with SAD fairly badly but only post Christmas. I’m a real summer boy, though- I absolutely live for being outdoors and especially being in the sea.

Indeed, we celebrated solstice by being out as long as we could stand it in our traditional way- swim in the sea, picnic on the beach, bottle of wine, pub garden for an hour for a friend’s low key 40th and just got home as we have loads to do tomorrow so being sober. Albeit that we’re congratulating ourselves on being sensible when we’ve had a bottle of wine each...
 
I've had a day off and I've built a RAISED BORDER which unexpectedly involved digging up two buried full size paving slabs and moving them
