Afternoon.

After many years I've finally been recommended READING GLASSES by the optician. I suspect he was upselling.

Have you tried a cheap pair of readers in any of the supermarkets or the like to see if they make any difference?

I've got about 10 different pairs now, mainly from Good Lookers or London Mole. I love changing them on any day according to mood.

I think Mr L is quite resentful that he has to spend several hundred quid on a pair thanks to various prescriptions and coatings he has so only ever has two pairs at any given time when they are on special offer, whereas I have a range of styles and colours and I don't think I've paid more than £15 for any of them.

I'm not rushing into it. I don't feel like I have any particular problems and my prescriptions are very slightly short-sighted. Of course I'm 45, but I spend a decent percentage of my time reading books and there's no issue. Screens however...

The fact I was ushered out of the opticians room straight into the company of a sales assistant for a READING GLASSES RECOMMENDATION BASED ON NO STATISTICAL EVIDENCE and during that interaction ULTRA PLUS or something of that nature was mentioned, well that sent alarm bells ringing. I literally used to do that job.

Hi Moopy.

Ive managed to walk about 38 miles in 6 days I'm Stockholm this week.

Tomorrow is the Abba museum, then home time :(

I averaged just under 9 miles walking a day in September.

I've not been to Stockholm since the Abba Museum opened. They just had a section in a general music museum when I was last there.

We were torn between the ABBA museum and the Vasa museum. But I think ABBA has to win.
