The Admin Elections 2020 Results Thread

I mean there was literally no admin around when Star said “Time to hand over to admin” at the end :D

This isn’t a dig to either Indie or octophone, and Star has done a wonderful job counting/presenting, but the problem we’re all arguing over is in plain sight :D

isn’t the rules the same for the mod election when it comes to the threshold? This whole thing stems from people complaining we got in through the back door! I hope we get as many mods as we can, but I think it’s going to be difficult to get a massive amount over the threshold. But you never know.

I don't know whether the rules have been ironed out as yet. I mean, I hope we get to vote for more than three because I'm totally in favour of a robust mod team.
 
The sexual goose and Suomi were neck and neck throughout the voting. Sadly neither of them made the cut. :(
 
Well, I think that this is the correct result. We already have a rule that Indie and octy can't travel on the same airliner, so we should have a solid continuity of governance. I've never thought that we need three admin and I have full confidence that the mod election will give us plenty of people in charge.

this is 100% hindsight and not anything we should’ve anticipated, but next time how about the vote and the confidence be separate?

For example if someone votes for Indie and Octy, but has confidence in two other candidates, for examples sake Mr Z and Mr Sa. That person could vote for 3 candidates but also be able to indicate any candidates they would support.

I didn’t vote for everyone because I couldn’t, but I had confidence in more than 3.

but if they can show their confidence, it’ll be clearer who is supported, you could even use that as a tiebreak if they get the same number of hard votes

Are you talking about the mod elections anyway? That hasn’t happened yet!

I’m alright, it’s 10am here so being awake isn’t that strange. But isn’t it 2am there?!
