Has anyone watched it?

I started and gave up a while back but tried again after amazing reviews and a renewal of Season 2 (which just released) and now Season 3. I'm so glad I tried again because it's AMAZING. The cast is brilliant, as is the writing (Deborah Cahn also wrote for The West Wing, Grey's Anatomy and Homeland) and the story, which kicks in properly by episode 3, is really binge-worthy.

Apparently QUEEN Allison Janney is in Season 2, so things are only going to get better :disco:

Yes I finished series 2 last week. A truly astonishing piece of TV.

I loved Keri Russell after The Americans, so glad to see her on this.

I never botheered with The Americans even after years of amazing reviews and awards. The premise did nothing for me.

So I wasn't really familiar with Keri Russell, and talk about someone who can carry a whole TV show on her back. She's amazing. But major props for Rufus Sewell who absoluely chews the scenery as her husband- I absolutely adore the endless layers in their fucked up yet quite effective marriage.

Everyone leans into the roles so well, especially the beautiful UK Foreign Secretary and the sassy CIA lady. And I'm still only 5 episodes in. The opening episode was easily the weakest of them all, even though it was good, it was just a lot of scene setting.

The Americans is excellent, and Keri Russell especially. From memory there is an incredibly annoying tv teenager though.

The jumpy theme music is one of those I used to listen to all the way through rather than skip too.

The Diplomat is on the list, I never watched the first season. Eight and six episodes feels very manageable though.

Not FASLANE getting a NAME CHANGE

Allison Janey is an absolute QUEEN and I'm very excited for a third season of this ABSOLUTE NONSENSE

OMG

Finally finished it

The way this went from an intriguing geopolitical thriller in season 1 to overblown fantastical nonsense in season 2, and I'm still here for every second of it! Great dialogue, great scene chewing, and Deborah Cahn not one to shy away from thirty six unnecessary twists every episode :disco:

Looks like Janney is going to be back for a bigger role in Season 3 - YAY!

There’s only ONE diplomat I care about right now

I can’t wait to dive into this but I need ChatGPT to give me a proper recap first… can’t remember much other than QUEEN ALLISON JANNEY causing mayhem in the final scene…

I watched the first season a while back and I didn't love it like I thought I would. I'm not sure if it is because it fell between proper drama and full on ridiculousness.

I watched the first 3 episodes ages ago and l couldn’t get into it at all. And then I went back and watched it again and something clicked and I got absolutely hooked. It is ridiculous, but in the way a best written, best acted and best shot a show could possibly be. Just about everyone acts like a cartoon villain, but you just know these evil people exist in real life, and this is how the world is actually run!

Episode 6 of this series is absolutely amazing. I need more scenes of the President, VP, and the first and second ladies :disco:

OMG I NEED TO WATCH THIS but Yellowstone final season is soooo long and I wanted to finish that first.

Keri Russell is just so damn watchable.

I implore everyone to go back watch The Americans.

Anyway this continued to be absolutely compelling and wonderful NONSENSE and I can't wait for the next season.

It had better be this time next year
