Anyway - I didn't know that Persephone was pronounced Purr-sa-fo-knee until this thread so thanks for the education.

HISTORY LESSON: it all stems from The Flaming Lips's "ZAIREEKA" - this came as 4 CDs, designed to be played on 4 different systems simultaneously. I own this album (a princely £3.99 in a Virgin sale) but have never heard it as I've never had 4 systems at once and could never be arsed to transfer it onto computer to mix it together. This eight-speakered album nonetheless inspired me to call my home studio "Octophonic Sound Research". Hence "octophone" - lowercase characters only plz.

PS - OSR was dismantled in 2001 and never fully reconstituted because computers.
