This trailer doesn’t give all that much away, but from the director of Barbarian, an 18 certificate and Julia Garner were enough to draw me in.

Oh this was very satisfying, with a great build, a non-linear story and again just more brilliant whatthefuckery.

Glad I went to see this knowing nothing about the plot because by God this was the freakiest shit I've seen in a long time.

I had no idea which way the story was going to go, it might be best described as Hansel & Gretel meets Children of the Corn. I did chortle at

the kids chasing a shrieking Gladys towards the end

but mostly a properly thrilling & chilling ride.

Loved this! Demi Moore-esque Oscar campaign for Amy Madigan please.

I did enjoy it, but cannot endorse the aunt actress getting awards if Demi didn't. I'm also fresh off watching some far better hammy-horribles and just can't give it higher than a very decent 7. There were some laughs dispensed well too. The way all loose threads were attended to also nicely done. Just absolutely no scares. The director being labelled a horror auteur? Stylish as it is - tell another one.

I think this is still my favourite 2025 movie, I just had so much fun with it.

This was eeeexcellent! The camera work and storytelling were just terrific. Packed with suspense and chill from start to finish. And the subtle commentaries gave it a nice depth.
