Wednesday has a nice conversation about puppies

Boiling your white underwear in a saucepan, usually.

:D No it’s NOT. It’s boiling TEA TOWELS AND FLANNELS in a saucepan to make them all fresh and lovely, aka smelling as bad as they did when they went in

I've got about 10 bars of soap in the bathroom cabinets. All lovely ones, most gifts. Triple milled or not, as soon as I open them and start using them, I just feel like I want them gone. I don't like looking at half used bars of soap. There's something really ICKY about them. So I leave them in the bathroom cabinets.

Or my knicker drawer.

What’s the consensus on that popular brand of mint shower gel that makes your anus TINGLE?

Or my knicker drawer.

I hate soap bars but also seen to have reached an age where they're considered a lovely present. I tend to keep them in the drawer too. A bar of L'occitane soap works wonders as a drawer freshener.

I'm quite the fan of a drop or two of peppermint essential oil for added stimulation as well.

Do you not have washing machines? I’m getting a very backwards image of the UK from this thread.

We have launderettes. Some of them do service washes and have ironing services too but others you just have to wait in the Persil-smelling warmth with your bag of 50p pieces while your washing goes round in the machine.

Apparently we’re weird in the UK for keeping our washing machines in the kitchen.

Someone I know had their house redone recently and put their washing machine upstairs. Kinda makes sense really, saves having to drag the clothes downstairs to wash!

pretty common in Copenhagen because of the tiny apartments. but in houses, never, always go in the bathroom or *looks up word* scullery ()

Until a pipe bursts and it destroys the ceiling and the room below as well...
