Spending my time off work this week sorting out the hoarder's paradise otherwise known as the spare room. For fifteen years I've just thrown things in there because my loft is so scary but I need to clear it out if spawn of spawn is ever going to stay over. It had got to the point where I couldn't actually walk in to the room. I've already taken three massive bags of clothes to the charity box and filled up my paper bin and later this week I'll take a trip to the tip with all of the old duvets and pillows.

This morning I opened a box containing two Furbies and a Furby Baby and a Sony Walkman (cassette version with radio). Just been on my Facebook memories and thirteen years ago, on this day I lamented the fact that I'd found a Walkman in the spare room and it was only worth £1.60 on Ebay.

Why is the loft scary?

Because I fell out of the loft at our old house and chicken-winged myself (body fell out with arms caught by the hatch on either side), the entrance hatch in this loft is too small for Mr F's shoulders, we've got that pink insulation that I'm highly allergic to so I have to have inhaler on standby and wear a breathing-mask which gives me panic attacks and it's also probably full of dead mice. Also I get very claustrophobic up there and because the hatch is so small there's no quick way out. Oh and if I fell out of this loft I'd end up at the bottom of the stairs. Honestly, it's terrifying to me.
