Yellowhammer Monday

I've just liked something on fb that @big ron told me to. I hope I've not just signed up to a drugs ring or something.
 
My eyes are really itchy and streaming, and I can’t stop bloody sneezing. Is it the start of a cold or is it the dreaded AUTUMN HAYFEVER? I used to get it terrible, but have not had it for the past 2 years. I am never bothered throughout the Summer usually, but when the trees start shedding leaves I am RIDDLED.
 
It feels properly autumnal here in Royal Tunbridge Wells today (rain/sun/wind in equal measure) and I am loving it.

They had a Pride bash here on Saturday which brought all the local hot stuff out in force. I'd have anticipated lots of FURIOUS letters of complaint being sent into the local RAG before I remembered that this is a curiously liberal pocket of the South East.
 
So today:

I've had to give my lovely, brand new hire car back
I'm back on healthy eating and fitness
I'm back to work after my holiday

And somehow, I'm actually quite PERKY about it all. WHO KNEW!?
 
My sister just POPPED IN UNANNOUNCED

Wanting to borrow a HEDGE TRIMMER no less

She clearly isn't up on London etiquette which requires you to make a booking at least two weeks in advance before deciding to venture anywhere near a person's FRONT DOOR

Time to move back to WC1 :zombie:

I’ve been in a foul mood for 24hrs but a good swim has just sorted me right out. I cant meditate for shit but 500m gets my brain in order.
 
Mr F has gallstones as well as an inflamed liver so he'll be joining dear Wendy in the gallbladderless club soon. They have no idea what's going on with his liver so they're hoping it's because of the gallstones.

I have to say that while it's a ballache spending several hours at the hospital it's a really good idea to do all the tests and scans on the same day and then get the results at the end of the day instead of having several visits over a period of weeks.

Oh gawd he has my deepest sympathies. I hope he gets it sorted soon. I was lucky and only waited 2 weeks to see the specialist and 6 weeks later for the op.
I had to go to 2 different hospitals in 2 different counties and 2 different trusts my various tests and scans. that was a ballache.
 
Mr L had his done (and all the appointments before it) at the Spire private hospital, on the NHS. They were just the first ones to have availability when he used choose & book. The original date was really quick, but it got cancelled 2 days before he was due to go in, due to staff sickness. I assume the NHS patients will always get bumped first.

He's been lucky as the problem only got bad last Sunday night so he saw the GP on Wednesday for blood tests, inflamed liver results came back on Thursday, hospital on Friday afternoon for another blood test when they thought it was a liver problem then back there today for one more blood test, an ultrasound and then the consultation with the tummy surgeon who also recruited him to take part in his study to do with bile duct stones.

If nothing else it's spurred him into considering, and hopefully changing, his terrible eating habits. Ten years of nagging from me made no difference whatsoever but the fright of thinking he could have liver disease or worse seems to have made a bit of difference.
