lol! I had my last one yesterday and I will be doing #4 TODAY actually! Maybe finish it off today actually!

mm .. well i guess I would just be projecting my own preferences on you, BUT

1) Season 3
2) Season 6
3) Season 1
4) Season 4
 
If we don't get the next season's ranking SOON, I'm going to be a BETTER word thief and start reviewing the next season.

And I know what it is FOLKS.

Best line ever ... from Angel Season 5. Its where they have all gathered in a park to have a discussion about whats going on away from the walls of Wolfram and Hart.

Gunn gets all defensive about having the legal stuff put in his head, Angel quips about a motor pool and limitless guilt, Lorne (who is ace) comes up with how he got the Nancy Sinatra collection on 45s and then Wesley comes out with:

"Well I did get this rather nice pen.... sterling .... has my name on it .... but thats beside the point!"

Which is FANTASTIC after the relentless darkness and seriousness that his character has been through up until that point. Just love that line...

Season 2 of Angel is the best, light-hearted and fun with also some decent direction.

The Charmed Season which had Chris and Gideon in it was quite good, the nearest Charmed got to an arcing storyline fullstop.
 
Oh and Spike calling Angel 'Captain Forehead' in Season 5 is top too!

I wish the series hadn't been canned. I could have seen the Ilyria thing being spun out to be much longer, in fact taking you to the season finale, then a Season 6 dealing with the corruptive influence of W&H on Angel.

As it happens I'm mere MOMENTS away from finishing Season 3 of Angel. I really don't like it half as much as Buffy, Angel is just too boring a character. When they try to give him some comedy angle it always ends DIABOLICALLY

Season 4 is actually quite good. There are some bad moments, but in retrospect it was really the last season to really strike the drama/humour balance, as well as being the season where they started experimenting with more avant-garde stand-alone episodes (Hush, Restless)

The drama/humour balance never stops, and it never would with Xander/Anya etc around...


Yes, great stand alone episodes but at what cost to the series at a whole? And they weren'¨t the first, Season 1 is arguably stand alone episode after stand alone episode, not avant garde though of course
