Before last week I only knew 'I dont want to wait' and 'Where have all the cowboys gone' but 'Amen', 'Me', 'Bethlehem', 'I believe in love' and 'postcards from east oceanside' are excellent too

Anyone else like her?

recommend anything other than the songs from the greatest hits?

i finally found my this fire cd the other day and i played it a couple of times
mississippi, feelin' love, it's a great album all over, only i don't wanna wait grates on me
 
I didn't realise she had a GH out, and from Amazon I see a new album is on the way too.

This Fire is her best album by some way and that GH tracklisting draws heavily from it (though I'm not familiar with these songs: Autumn Leaves, Tomorrow I Will Be Yours, Postcards from East Oceanside).

Never really got into the first album properly. Amen is a bit GOD BOTHERING for my tastes, though of course it has I Believe In Love. Be Somebody (which features T-Boz) and Pearl aren't bad.
 
"This Fire" is a good album, it tries to be kind of out there, but whilst also remaining an approachable album for her genre imo
 
Strebor's random iTune thing in Moopy Moop reminded me of the bansheeness of "Saturn Girl"

I love how she sings the chorus in three different pitches within the course of one song for added DRAMA...
 
Harbinger just clocked OUT so now I'm enjoying This Fire

God I really love "Throwing Stones." Apart from that bridge I always harp on about ("Oh, Mama...") there's also that killer chilling line -

Now my anger is my best friend
CAREFUL - I may bite your head off

Ah it seems that is the version that is on the greatest hits, I didn't even realise it was hex hectored up

What a FANTASTIC album This Fire really is. I've even done a Suedey-esuqe turnaround on 'I Don't Want To Wait'. It's gorgeous really. I think now that I've had a long break from Dawsons Creek I can appreciate it.

What should I try next, Amen or Harbinger?

I still think that “I Believe In Love (Jonathan Peter’s Anthem Mix)” is one of the best dance mixes of all time
