I was AGOG to learn that this hasn't been submitted already, arguably one of the most famous bells in the western world :o

I can also boast an photo of it that I took MYSELF

I don't know, it's eerily similar as my entry but not quite the same. Let's leave this one up to Sir David Bowie.

I didn't notice that :(

However, I do feel that other labels which aren't animal themed should be recognised for the valuable part they play in everyday life, and therefore I shall contest this challenge. I would like to ask the Royal Arbiter of the Bell that submission 407 remain. Although perhaps if it were renamed non-animal themed labels this would please all parties?

i'm shocked sir david didn't deem animal labels as being too tenuous. i urge the next arbiter to reject that bell and replace it with labels.

As a lame-duck Arbiter, I have decided to suspend all decisions until my sucessor is in place. It will allow the board to get to grips with the new Arbiter.

Voting closes TODAY. I have a special surprise for all those who vote in the first round.

Qualifying for the second round of voting is therefore:

Bill the Flowerpot Man
Dame Bella Emberg
Dame Geri Halliwell
Dame Linda Bellingham
Donna Winter
Josef Fritzl
Peter Poles
Sir Freddie Mercury
TurnerPrize O.B.
unmadison

The next round of voting will be done in standard Eurovision style.

Please dole out 12, 10, 7, 4.2, 4.1, 1 and -3 points amongst the 10 remaining candidates.

All votes must be PM'ed to me, Sir David Bowie.

Members of the Privy Council of the Bell will have their votes count double.

VOTING CLOSES SUNDAY 26 JULY 13:00 GMT

I got 2 -3s? AMAZE

Except my votes don't look right. It makes it look like I've given 10 points to someone I didn't (and very probably couldn't).

You are most right. My humblest apologies. (You could have voted that way though)

The top ten remain the same however. I will update the scoreboard.

That's ok. It must be a very stressful and sad time for you.

EDIT: Does this mean I came last? :D :(

I have no idea what's going on, but GOOOOOOOOOO BILL THE FLOWERPOT MAN!

What the fuck? Shame on you all. Freddie mercury, the flowerpot man and TurnerPrize o.b. would all be dull as fuck. Donna Summer would be amazing but he's already a moopy poster and i want to get a shit celebrity in.

Therefore I urge everyone to vote for Geri. She's totally batshit so would be entertaining, yet she would also be very thorough and show dedication to the bells. Let's be honest she has very little else to do these days. And she's the only one of the top 5 to show her Bell-love by giving her child a bell name.

In fact the other 4 are all homosexuals :o

I'm pro Dame Geri Halliwell too.

Has Donna Winter consented to becoming Royal Arbiter of the Bell? It would be an awful burden to have thrust upon someone unsuspectedly.

This implied consent to me.

In my UNMODERATED DELIGHT at being nominated for the position of ROYAL ARBITER OF THE BELL I would like to point out that BEL POWLEY is a REPETITIOUS BELL

God save the Queen and Sir David BOWIE

Voting Phase III

The final phase will be done via SINGLE TRANSFERABLE VOTE.

All voters must PM me a list of their choices in order of preference.

The candidate with the fewest first preference votes will be eliminated and the votes will be redistributed in accordance with second preferences. The process continues until an absolute majority is reached. If there is a tie, the Privy Council will decide the winner.

The runner up will duely be elected Associate Justice of the Bell and will take the place of the Arbiter in case of resignation or death of the Arbiter.

All members of the Privy Council and of the Order of the Bell must vote. If they do not, they will lose their titles and priveledges.

The candidates are:

Sir Freddie Mercury
Bill the Flowerpot Man
Donna Winter
TurnerPrize O.B.
Dame Geri Halliwell
