This is the most RIDICULOUS and GAY thing I have heard in some time but it's really got stuck in my head this week :D

PUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

As inspired by my very first viewing this week of John Waters' quite amazing Female Trouble :disco:

"What are THESE? I told you CHA CHA HEELS, black ones!"

"Nice girls don't wear cha cha heels!"

The bit where the mother gets stuck under the Christmas tree is TOO MUCH!

I probably shouldn't have stuck this in MfG if I wanted any posts but WHAT THE HEY

Omg what IS that clip :D
The Eartha one or the film one? Cause let's face it, they're both pretty OUT THERE :D

Oh my, I've just downloaded the 12" mix and it's EVEN MORE bonkers than the 7". And somehow, I just KNEW that VoR would DIG IT :disco:

I'm LOOKING for a LOVERRRRRRRRRR
That LOVES like DYNAMITE
So DON'T YOU MESS AROUND WITH ME
You WON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO
Cause I'll put on my CHA CHA HEELS
And WALK ALL OVER YOU

An ALL TIME CLASSIC

But just IMAGINE if DIVINE had LIVED to put the VOX on this TRACK as planned - it would have been the ULTIMATE HINRG MOMENT :disco:

Going back to BOISE
I'm ITCHING for a FIGHT
I'm looking for a LOVERRRRR
Who loves like dynamite
So don't you mess around with me
You won't know what to DO
'Cause I'll put on my CHA CHA HEELS
And WALK all over YOU

:disco:

I had no idea that was the plan but of course it makes PERFECT SENSE

Quite frankly, I think Eartha was the ONLY person who could be considered an adequate replacement for the job :disco:

"Cha Cha Heels" and "Female Trouble" were BOTH amongst my VERY HOMOSEXUAL MOULDINGS

"I wouldn't suck your LOUSY DICK if I was SUFFOCATIN and there was OXYGEN in yer BALLS!"

:disco:

The film. I'm WELL VERSED with the Eartha one.

For a second I thought this was going to be one of those collaborations FROM BEYOND THE GRAVE but alas, it's slightly less fabulous :(

Oh, I think this would've definitely been a bit more fabulous if it had been FROM BEYOND THE GRAVE :o

In fairness I think dear old Eartha was operating FROM BEYOND THE GRAVE for a good 30 years before she officially carked it.

It's BRILLIANT. I love her.

"Here i am the QUEEN of CRIME" is quite the opening line. The whole thing is absolutely mental.

My list of NEEDS is REALLY QUITE BRIEF
I need a MAN who can bring me RELIEF

I love MEN
OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN

Sing it EARTH :disco:

The "I Love Men" album is a SURPRISING, if RIDICULOUS, treat, loves. I suggest you GO GETTIT

And now I'll chill the gold champagne
Unless that goes against your grain
A glass of vodka over ice
Or just spray it up, that would be NICE

:disco:

I LOVE-RRRRRR MEN-AH!
LOVE THEM OVERRRRRR and OVERRRRR and OVERRRRR AGAIN-AH!

*crappy Hi-NRG drum breakdown*

ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

I had something of a "MOMENT" with the collected works of OUR EARTH in the car yesterday back from Manchester. As a result I feel GAY AS FUCK today

I LOVE MEN
What can I DO
I love MEN
They're no good for YOU

HAPPY FRIDAY LOVES :disco:

Some choice Eartha youtube picks have been just the ticket for a mildly hung over BH Monday. This one has some dancing of a kind I have truly never seen before:

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/pk-YSLfVFp8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

I can't imagine OUR EARTH got lucky with ANY of those dancers after, mind...

Oh my word. A new contender for the gayest thing ever.

That clip really does stand up to repeat viewing. You have to admire Eartha grabbing at the jumpers of the unsuspecting flag wavers before being drowned in industrial quantities of glitter.

This is the most incredible thing I have ever experienced (today)

Just goes to show that when you think you've SEEN IT ALL...

I've been having an Eartha few weeks and discovering the I Love Men and I'm Still Here albums, both of which are fabulous but I Love Men is just on ANOTHER LEVEL. They need reissues, preferably in super deluxe box form with bonus Eartha-branded poppers

Sugar Daddy really speaks to me

Those albums and the singles from them aside, was any of her other 80s/90s work particularly fabulous or was it all jazz?

The ten-minute version of Where Is My Man on I Love Men is just beyond, I love the way Eartha sounds like she's fallen asleep by the end of each line of the chorus

Funnily enough, I found the "I Love Men" album on vinyl in Stockholm at the weekend, which I was OVERJOYED about! The same second hand box (as well as a lot of Swedish nonsense) had the one Boney M I was missing on vinyl and two Amanda Lear albums, so it really was a treasure TROVE!

The full album is quite difficult to find! Not on iTunes or Spotify, the one copy I found on Soulseek was of such low quality that I deleted it and had to search regularly over the next few days for another one to pop up

And according to Discogs, it was only released on CD in its original form in 1984... can't one of the labels who do all the Patti LaBelle/Aretha reissues etc. get the RIGHTS?

I have quite a good copy if you needed one....on mp3 that is. So glad to have the vinyl, though, it's going to get its first spin this afternoon :disco:

OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN

The second one I downloaded was as good as it gets I think, but thanks :disco:

What I now need to seek out are all the MIXES, Eartha Kitt singles box please
