January 26 bitches

Ginger Minj, 29, Orlando, FL
Jaidynn Diore Fierce, 25, Nashville, TN
Jasmine Masters , 37, Los Angeles, CA
Kandy Ho', 28, Cayey, PR
Kasha Davis, 41, Rochester, NY
Katya, 31, Boston, MA
Kennedy Davenport, 33, Dallas, TX
Max, Minneapolis, MN
Miss Fame, 29, New York, NY
Pearl, 23, Brooklyn, NY
Sasha Belle, Iowa City, IA
Tempest DuJour, Tuscon, AZ
Trixie Mattel, Milwaukee, WI
Violet Chachki, 21, Atlanta, GA

I'm assuming they saw the name Ginger Minj and just decided to have her.

Also I like that they got some rural queen, less NY and LA centric.

I could see the Russian one being good value, and I like the look of the twentysomething elderly woman - serving Liz Jones realness :disco:

Yes, but must there always be a bitch from Puerto Rico? I hate them and they're always the same.

I'm underwhelmed by the production values of that teaser/trailer compared to S6 but the queens look promising

I wasn't excited last year as well. Last year I thought Kelly Mantle had it from the interviews and look how that turned out.

I watched the introductions on Logo and I believe Pearl is mentally challenged and I already hate Max.

I'm getting Kelly Mantle vibes from the queen at 0.36 in the trailer. I also thought Laganja was going to be the one to look out for last year. I wasn't wrong :disco:

Link to the intros please?

I just sat through all fourteen Meet the Queens videos and based solely on THAT, this is a fucking DREADFUL batch. I think I liked four of them.

Well dear, they're at logotv.com but you'll need to undo the region restriction with Hola or similar

Yeah sorry DC but I use a VPN.

Videos are ok, a bit lifeless.

On second inspection I may have spoken too soon.

GOOD: Miss Fame, Jaidynn Diore Fierce, Kandy Ho, Katya, Tempest DuJour, Violet Chachki, Trixie Mattel

NOTHINGY: Sasha Belle, Kasha Davis, Max

CRAP: Jasmine Masters, Pearl, Kennedy Davenport, Ginger Minj

Watching the intros now. Jasmine Masters is SUCH a bore. She needs to go first.

I can't say I'm VERY excited for ANY of these new queens, although they were hardly given the best material to work with. WHAT SHOW DID YOU LAST BINGE WATCH? The answer is WHO THE FUCK CARES.

you can clearly see what logo is going to do here, tease every bit of information out on social media but the quality can never be that strong so at the moment a good 8-part series looks morose and hackneyed. just let it be (except in this day and age u cant)

i await the full season promo (it's weird the final three was decided a few months back...)

Meanwhile, over on Willam's Tumblr

ardpop asked:
hey willam what do you think of the season 7 queens?

Cheap shoes.

Oh Bianca. This is beneath you. (Or actually maybe it isn't but it's not very FUNNY.)

If that's Trixie out of drag, the Barbie miss Piggy look is surprising as he's not bad looking there. It also reminds me of a horrific Gina G image with a glitter-ball ice-cream scoop on a cone.

Poor Bianca, that just wasn't working for her. I did laugh at Alyssa "let me get a look" Edwards though, but of course.

That Bianca video is terrible, she should just do a stand up special (and get new material).

Apparently one of the queens is doing MIRANDA SINGS in this year's Snatch Game. :disco:

The new season still doesn't have a premiere date. Jan 26th seemed likely at one point but now it looks like it's may just be sometime in "Spring" :zombie:

I was wondering about that, I remember them saying Jan 26 but then there's no mention of it anywhere. I thought I dreamt it.

The fanz have been outraged by the lack of premiere date over on Reddit this week, not helped by the official Drag Race twitter essentially TROLLING their v dedicated fanbase about it throughout the week.

I'm starting to get distinct feelings of LETDOWN about s7. Lets face it, season 6 was most probably the peak - it's all downhill from here.

I have reservations about the cast - Tempest DuJour..REALLY?, and has anybody ever seen Miss Fame try to perform? SHEESH a CADAVER could work the stage better.
I wouldn't be surprised if the assumed delay is down to a hasty re-edit job. By now we usually have the full super-trailer with footage of the season.

I've booked tickets to see the Haus of Edwards in Birmingham in March; I'm really excited. The three of them really are ESSENTIAL queens.

I too have a really unsettled feeling about Season 7. The trailer that was released really screams 'budget' after the incredible Season 6 extravaganza and the pushing back of the start date doesn't bode well. Wasn't it initially pencilled in for next week and now it's some time in March? That's what I've heard.

I do think that this season may be the beginning of its decline though. Last year, with it being released on to Netflix, it EXPLODED in the UK and I think that has as much to do with new viewers being able to binge five seasons all at once.

Either Ru or Michelle (I forget who) has said that Season 7 is where the show gets 'refreshed', which isn't necessarily a bad thing given that it's stuck to the same formula for the last six years and I imagine there'll be a new version of 'She Mail', but I hope they haven't tried to change it too much and make it too polished, I think it would lose some of its charm.
