Oh the shame

I am well aware that this is the GAYEST FILM EVER, but I accidently stumbled across it on youtube a few weeks ago and once I started watching it, I actually couldn't stop.

I have to say, it is very good at what it does, and I actually really enjoyed it, despite telling myself that I wasn't allowed to.

Also : DID IT MAKE YOU CRY?

It did make me cry, but this was partly because my Mum is current very ill herself and I haven't cried about it yet, and once this film started me off I had a good cry and all in the world was good again.

My Sisters Who Are The Reason I'm Gay told me I would definitely cry so I tried really hard to so as not to disappoint them but it just wasn't happening.

I don't cry at anything - I think I'm a bit emotionally detached so I don't get really laugh a lot, or get scared, or cry. DEAD INSIDE.

Yes, it made me cry. :shy: Not seen it for aeons though. But one of my fave guilty pleasures.

You need a good cry sometimes, everpres, yes.. music and film always do it for me, cathartic, even if this is one of the least subtle examples. Sorry to hear about your mum too.
 
Oh its fine about my Mum this wasn't a topic to talk about her.

I have an aunt that is very similar to CC Bloom, right down to that she used to wear a leather jacket with animal skin patches - alas I haven't seen her in about 10 years. I think she married a Spanish waiter.

The one thing I never quite understood about the film, is why do neither of the characters appear to have any other friends in the entire world other than each other. I know it goes against the entire point of the film, but STILL.
 
As Lolly said, it's schmaltzy CRAP but I kinda love it.

The little girl who plays CeCe at the beginning is TV's Blossom, fact fans.

The soundtrack is really nice too. Otto Titsling is just the best thing ever.

I found it VERY LONG and had to watch it in three parts, which no doubt ruined the EFFECT for me. But otherwise it was good!
 
I truly want to avoid this at all costs forever, all the fag hags constantly discuss it around me, it's almost unbearable.

The ONLY film that makes me cry at every repeated viewing (with, perhaps the esception of Spiceworld The Movie).

After Steel Magnolias and Beaches, I hope Pretty Woman is the next romcom to get the Lifetime treatment, with Quvenzhané Wallis, Patrick Dempsey and special guest star Laverne Cox as the sassy hotel manager.

I blame this movie for my unrealistic hope of dying painlessly under a beach umbrella while my BFF gives me a meaningful final look and uncomplainingly takes on all of my worldly debts and responsibilities.

 
I’m usually a dead inside bitch but this is one movie that gets me crying every damn time
