The dress is atrocious. She looks like a low end prostitute.

The dress is exquisitely hideous, but this is J Lo we're talking about. She's always enjoyed a bit of SHEER

She's essentially stylized as KYLIE JENNER there so she looks amazing considering

The dress isn't particularly age inappropriate as much as downright horrid.

Dress looks like an old favourite of Divine Brown's she threw in the bin after ten good years on her favourite stretch. Just as well she gives good face.

She's no classy lady, but she's all woman and she needs a coat to keep her warm.

The dress comes fitted with a built in diaper.

She sounds like she is HIGH MAINTENANCE and frankly a bit UNBEARABLE but comes across far more human and grounded than your standard run of the mill diva. WHO KNEW.

i've always found her really likeable - not too funny, not too in your face, not too bright but just really easy and pleasant. i always wonder if it's an act though.

The impression I get from her is that she probably did believe her own hype and become a bit of a monster in the late 90s/early 00s, but age and a few years out of the limelight between Get Right and On The Floor has mellowed/humbled her a lot. She seems really likeable and good natured these days, I always warm to her when I see her interviewed.

She's signed on to star in Bye Bye Birdie Live for NBC, in the role of Rosie Alvarez, originally played by Chita Rivera on Broadway and Janet Leigh in the movie.

Let's all drop the negativity, shall we, and enjoy the trailer to J.Lo's latest gift to cinema, in which she plays a hard-working modern day Norma Rae who bravely overcomes humble roots and a lack of education to fraudulently climb the corporate ladder (with perfect hair).

INSPIRING

Her voice in those last two singing clips isn't actually that bad- the first is clearly someone who CAN sing but hasn't been trained to use her voice yet. The second there's flashes where she's actually fine...

I'm actually SURPRISED by those in a RELATIVELY GOOD WAY.

Gimme gimme
Gimme the note gimme the note what's the note
Gimme the note

Someone needs to remix that

Obviously taking on Streisand is SOMEWHAT ambitious, but I honestly think the relentless negativity about her voice from certain quarters just comes out of Mariah fans still holding onto a 20-year grudge. Does she have a thin, limited singing voice? Sure. Is she massively less talented than the average pop singer? No. She's probably about on a par with Madonna, Britney, Rihanna etc.

And that's before you bring in younger models like Selena Gomez who genuinely couldn't carry a tune in a bucket...

Oh I don't know. The first clip is ATROCIOUS. The second clip is someone who can hold a note, so to speak, but is clearly not a singer.

I've also always found the TONE of her voice quite GRATING.

BABBYYYYYYYYYY ain't it FUNNY HOWWWWWWWWW.

I've always thought she was a terrible "non" singer in that she doesn't even bother, but that clearly isn't true. The first clip wasn't great, no, but there's clearly something there.

She was fine by the end of that second clip- and it's clearly a rehearsal clip where she's trying things out. I'd just LOVE to hear something of Mariah's at the same stage... :side-eye:
