I'm sure Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I'm Bored will be a 15 minute opus too where during the first 3 minutes she is urging a boy to break up with his girlfriend and when he refuses she becomes even more bored which will translate into a silence for the next 12 minutes with occasional yuh's and ilysm's faintly echoing.

I for one am EXCITED Max is back after the absolute BANGAH Breathin' turned out to be but since that was slumped accross a river of boring old tosh it gives me hope the rest of this album won't turn out to be a borefest sedated TRAP party in the vein of the first two singles.

I LOVE the fact that I will probably be able to combine all the Max tracks from Sweetener and this and BIN the rest of the SHIT she recorded with Pharrell and Tommy Brown (sans a couple of songs) and create the TRUE follow up to Dangerous Woman that we REALLY deserved.:disco:

Y'know, this is old age for you - I tried reading the booklet and it looked as if several of the songs were written for her but the print was so bloody small, it was tough to tell.

I've had another look and it looks as if there's 4 songs on Sweetener without a credit for her...half of them are bloody upside down, of course...and her credit is further on in the list for a couple too.

According to Wikipedia, Sweetener is all here apart from the first song, which is presumably an intro :D
 
"7 Rings" broke Mariah's streaming record. 16.9 million to Mariah's 15.3 million. Wasn't expecting that after "Imagine" didn't do so much.

I’m sure this is a ruse to make even OLD PEOPLE turn to downloading instead of insisting on having a CD. No point in having the fucking booklet if you have to get a magnifying glass out to read the poxy credits

I've just got the latest Residents reissues - the writing is so small, even Trump's micropenis could cover it up. It's bloody awful.
 
It’s literally the same backing track (at a slightly different tempo) 12 times over.

NASA is the only one I bothered to listen to more than once.

I'm 6 tracks in and really enjoying this so far. Much better than I anticipated although my expectations were pretty low
 
Break Up With Your Girlfriend is easily the best single off this album so far. Yuh. It's fantastic, I think you can hear Max's influence.

The album has gone far beyond my meagre expectations. She really DID THAT. The only duds for me are the title track and 7 Rings, everything else ranges from good to superb on first play.

NASA, Fake Smile and Ghostin are glorious. What a step up.

It's been an unusual period - IIRC, she didn't release any singles from Sweetener after it had been released? So I guess the line wasn't obvious until she announced the new album.
 
Being away I had the radiogram on quite a lot and heard a good few of her tracks. I did find it quite confusing thinking 'but what album is this from'?, but I guess I'm very much a product of a certain period, and nowadays it really doesn't matter.
