Friday realised it got on the midnight train to Tbilisi, Georgia by mistake

All flights suspended at Bristol airport until midday at least, and it's still snowing.

I'm not (hopefully) flying until early Sunday morning, but it's still a bit concerning.
 
I find it hard to have sympathy for the people that have been stuck in the snow over night, when the news has been BANGING ON about it for 48 hours.

Lisbon. Hopefully.

The snow is forecast to stop lunchtime today, and it's should be 5°C tomorrow, so that should see a lot of thaw. And you know they will be working like crazy to get it cleared.

I'm not sure if it was all night, but it was snowing when I went to bed and when I woke up, and hasn't stopped since. Not particularly heavily though. I'd say it's about 10cm.

We're on a quiet estate (which is effectively a big cul de sac) surrounded by the river and woods, so everything looks quite pristine still. I'm sure once you get to the main road it's probably a bit more clear, or at least slushy.
 
There is nothing more beautiful than fresh untouched snow. Hopefully it buggers off by Sunday though.
 
I've had an old sand pit in the garage which belonged to one of my nieces or nephews years ago. Don't know why I never chucked it out, but I've just filled it with snow and the cats are all playing in it :D <3

It’s a slightly late birthday trip for him too. Hopefully we’ll win our fortune and not come back :disco:

I remember flying from East Midlands Airport when it was snowing about..ooh, 10 years ago? The flight was delayed while they defrosted one of the engines. I was in full Mr T mode when they told us that, partly because I dislike flying in the first place and partly because the inside of my head went "why only one of the engines?". As well it might have.
 
Weather: the snow has stopped and it seems to be thawing judging by the clumps I can see falling from the roof. I bet tonight will be a fucker with ice, though.
 
No snow here. Laying under a duvet on my mates sofa while she cooks a fry up. Also hungover and riddled with cold but whatever.

I think I'm okay in terms of a cold, but my top lip is a bit tingly. I hope it's not a fucking cold sore.

Don't get me wrong, I'd still have a good bash at some at your hypothetical free coke party, but it's probably not even top 5.

Thats actually quite hard but:

1 KET - Old faithful. There is something reassuring about its fuzzy, dissociative glow.
2 MDMA - Something is magical about falling in love with the world. Comedowns are wank though.
3 WEED - I was quite late to getting into weed, but as an older drug addict it has everything, I can get really stoned and feel great the next day. Cumulative use can make me bone fucking idle though.
4 BOOZE - Probably joint 3rd with weed tbh. Can't beat getting pissed. Can beat being a fucking prick though.
5 LSD - There was a period in my life acid would have been #1 - what a magical substance. If it wasn't for the 24-48 hours you needed to take out from life I'd still do it a lot.
6 COKE - I think of coke more like a utility drug. It's great for days on the piss, stags etc, but if I never had another line of average quality coke again, I wouldn't miss it. Good coke is amazing, but rare, and usually people saying coke is good are just coke heads lying to themselves. I can see why people get addicted to it, but it doesn't do much for me other than help me drink more.
7 DMT - I initially put this higher because it is quite literally life changing, but it's more an exciting treat than a recreational drug.
8 2Cx - Love the 2C family, 2ci and 2cb have always been good fun but something about the phenethylamine feeling makes them feel a bit grubby
9 MUSHROOMS - Similar to the 2C's they are a lot of fun but make me feel a bit 'ergh' -probably because I did too many once and always get a creeping darkness in the back of my mind
10 OPIUM - Warm, comfortable, highly addictive. There is a reason Peter Doherty went from romantic opium-addled poet to crumb begging baghead very quickly.

Notable mentions to CRACK - An amazing buzz but not for me, probably because I don't like coke that much and GHB - Great for getting your creep on but also great for people dying :'(
 
OT: I know I have a better mix of this really old track somewhere but can I find it? Can I buffalo.

Like pills, but trippy. Good for festivals because you get some of that buzzy feeling but stuff all goes pretty. 2cb is good because you come up off from it, feel good, everything goes bright and colourful, but you never get that whole breathing/cycling level of visuals that can be overwhelming.
