Pop? I’m surprised you managed to get it back on after it made that noise.

I was too! It was an actual loud pop noise, scared me to death and I expected smoke afterwards but there wasn't any. When I got it going again it was red-hot on the fan-exhaust side. I've copied all of my documents and the pictures are copying now. I don't have a penstick big enough for my music but I'm sure there's a 32gb one in my whirlygig at work so I'll nick it tomorrow.
