Insomnia update - improvement. Got about 5-6 hours kip but it took 11 hours to do so.

Morning.

I think I get around 5 hours a night according to my fitbit. I rarely sleep in after 6am, and go to sleep when I am tired. This has been the case since I was a child, and any more makes me feel super tired.

If I can get 6 hours within 8 or 9, I'm usually good so I need my ratio back but I got about 4 continuous hours last night and I haven't done that in about a fortnight.

Is it due to anxiety Octy? Are you on any sleeping aids?

Side-effects, really. No, no sleeping aids - the only time I ever tried a sleeping pill it made me sick.

Oh, you get it in Holland and Barrett! Quite expensive, will need to wait until Friday (payday).

I am seriously not looking forward to my wisdom tooth surgery next week. I've never had anyone deliberately chip away at my bones before.

Oh it's so much fun when you have it done at the hospital and they stick the cranking frame thing in to keep your gob open and you end up with the dentist's knee in your chest so he can get leverage with his instruments of medieval torture and all of those cracking and breaking noises.

It wasn't a wisdom tooth but I do recall the cracking noises when I had to have a tooth pulled out in 2012. It was really freaky.

Oh I've had three wisdom teeth removed already. But this is the first I've needed to have done at hospital. Superhappyfuntimes

IS THIS TRUE? :zombie:

I have been fortunate enough to have no problems with my teeth. At 45 I have 2 fillings. I do have them whitened every 6 months as I am a filthy smoker and lover of red wine.

IS THIS TRUE? :zombie:

It is and I toned it down a bit. :D

At one point the dentist was sat on me, later, for the knee in the chest part there were also two nurses trying to hold my head in place while the dentist yanked my tooth from side to side with the pliers.

That being said it's the best-healing extraction I've ever had.

Yeah I've had a wisdom tooth out and it was fairly brutal, the spliting of the tooth as they wrenched it out being a favourite part.

That is the stuff of nightmares.

I've never had an easy time with my teeth so it doesn't bother me too much, it's rare I have a checkup and don't need further work doing. I lost my two front baby teeth when I was tripped up in the playground at school, one came out and the other was pushed back up so I had to have that removed in addition to several other baby teeth because I had too many. When my replacement front teeth grew I smashed them in half on a bunkbed. When the rest of my second teeth started coming through I had to have four of them out because I still had too many teeth for my mouth. I got my normal wisdom teeth in my twenties but started growing a second set behind them when I was forty so several of them have had to come out too but they've left the ones they can't reach. Basically, I've got a gob full of condemned property.

Let me look into that...

I've tried CBD oil for anxiety and sleep. I've found it useful on the odd occasion, but if I take it more than a couple of days in a row it seems to lose efficacy.

Plus it is fairly expensive, so it tends to live in the cupboard and get used perhaps a couple of times a month I've had a couple of rough nights in a row.

I think you need to be careful about serotonin syndrome if you're on SSRIs, as well.

It's an SNRI I'm on but I'll check it out with my doctor tomorrow morning.
