it's provided I can get a copy through the library though. books are crazy expensive in Denmark
 
I've just been fingering Daisy Jones in Waterstones. £12.99 for a signed copy.
 
I mean we don't HAVE to go for that one. I only spent 5 minutes in Waterstones and this one seemed quite 'Moopy' in theme. I think it seems to be in the style of one of those documentaries - and is laid out a bit like a script. It's only just out so if we do decide to go for it, it might be better when it's been out for a while and is cheaper...

In fairness that's probably cheaper than most full price hardback, which are usually more like £20. But yes, books are cheaper here than most places generally, I believe.
 
Ok so this is the official thread for this month's book, chosen by me, after I was nominated by @Mats. No strict deadline, but I don't think it will take too long to read, shall we say April 30? We can start discussing it then.

It reminds me of Jackie Collins. Obviously with much less :disco: and trash, but I can’t see to put it down.
 
I'm still only halfway through The Little Friend but will be starting on this as soon as I finish it. I doubt I'll have this done & dusted by the end of the month though :(
 
well i’ve finished it so if anybody would like me to send them my copy i’m happy to do so.
 
I'm about a third of the way into this. I decided to go with the audiobook option and it actually works really well given the conversational / interview / 'rockumentary' style of it. Did they actually hire Stevie Nicks to do Daisy's voice? :D

So far it's lightweight froth but rather enjoyable. Think Fleetwood Mac True Hollywood Story meets A Star is Born but hey ho, it touches the zeitgeist I guess. But I do want to know what happens so in that sense it is unputdownable ....
