Red Bull Bus Breakfast Monday

Back at work. Our equivalent of "Droopy Drawers" barely grunted a response. Which is nice.

Boss is on holiday which is a pain but there you go.

I’m on a train from Poznan to Warsaw. It’s fucking horrible and I’m sat next to some extremely portly Polish lady, meaning I only have two thirds of a seat.

I have three hours to go.

That's ME :D

Sorry Nicola isn't in today so nobody could give the slightest fuck about your weekend and how doing some gardening made you all ACHEY (JUST MAKING AN EDUCATED GUESS THERE)

Manspread.

And fart.

Good Morning darlings. I have been busy preparing my Easter table in preparation for our Big Annual Easter party on Sunday.

Moopy, I'm nearly 46 and I'm eyeing up a white denim jacket. Is this acceptable?

God I love VANISH. Well Wilko's OWN BRAND VERSION anyway.

I've got a TELEPHONE MEDICAL INTERVIEW coming up later. IMAGINE MY JOY AT THAT PROSPECT. Like I can remember or care how many times I've been to the doctor or how many days I've had off sick since 2007

That train journey was FUCKING HELL ON EARTH. Who would want to keep the door closed with 8 of you in one cabin and bright sunshine streaming in. I felt like I was being COOKED.

Anyway, I've arrived and am going off into Warsaw in the VAGUE HOPE that the Record Store Day masses weren't interested in Bananarama...

Katie Melua is still really pretty, hasn’t changed at all since what, 2002? I mean she’s only 34 but still.

Also The Flood is still great *floods*

They either were or they never bothered in the first place :(

A surprising amount of Robyn's "Body Talk", which I thought would be a RSD winner- I guess that wasn't as limited...

Apparently, quite a few regular RSD stores (i.e. ones in it since the beginning) found themselves bewildered by some of the allocations. The distribution structure was changed in the UK and has left a few retailers scratching their heads.

I didn't see Robyn here (although I only went to one shop - and then at about 5pm), but it's the only one I probably would have bought for myself had I seen it. I don't think I REALLY want it, though.

Is the A-ha one particularly limited, do you know?

I got Robyn AND A-Ha. I desperately wanted the former but the latter was a kind of "if it's there". My friend got A-Ha too and said there were more copies, so I'd imagine it wasn't ridiculously limited. I think I read somewhere the Bananarama albums were 500 each, but I presumed that was an error for something that would obviously be that popular.

Do you want me to go back for Robyn here? I'll have chance to nip to one shop tomorrow lunchtime if it's still there @lolly ?

I got the Bananarama 12", by the way- different label and much higher pressing, I'd have thought...

Bless you, but no thanks. I mean I'll never play it so ultimately I'll end up resenting it. If you do see the a-ha one again I would be interested for Mr L, though.

I actually didn’t see one today. I’ll keep my eye open.

Have just won “Drama” on eBay for £35 as one was just ending- works out about £5 more expensive than my local shop once postage is added so not a disaster.

Especially if the ebay-ing cunt doesn’t send it via recorded delivery and I claim it’s been lost :)

I'd have picked up a copy for you if I had known! There were a few left when I was in my local store ...

I've just seen ad advert for a touring production of Fame. Mica Paris is the lead. Good job I looked, as I could have sworn it was Bob The Drag Queen on the poster.

There were two copies of Robyn at my local store. I grabbed one and another middle aged gay man grabbed another, bless. This was only 09:30 mind you (yes I queued).

Grabbed an A-ha for a friend and there were a few left at the time. TONNES of Bowie untouched... definite Bowie fatigue going on.

There’s always loads of Bowie. They are not actually that limited- stupid people grab them thinking they’ll be the most collectible. I saw at least 10 in the shops today.

I don’t think ours had ANY of the Bananarama albums. My friend said she went straight for Saint Etienne as instructed and then straight to B but with an eye on it and didn’t see anyone with it. She then also bought Bowie as “it’ll be worth something one day” :D

I'm guessing some of them weren't limited at all. I saw multiple boxes of Bowie picture discs.

Isn't there a lot of other releases just released on that day just to take advantage of increased footfall?

And people who believe things are limited when they aren't, or have run numbers so high effectively they aren't, anyway.

The albums? Or the 12”- which was a lot more popular. I’d have been amazed if there were a few just in one shop, from what I’d heard.

Are you still in Southampton? I’d be HALF TEMPTED to pop back and check when I’m home on Thursday if so...
