Has anybody seen this? Currently on UK Netflix. I'm on episode 3 and am enjoying it.

My flatemate is obsessed with this and now I am hooked.

What a refreshing show. Possibly the most likeable family on the telly.

Just started on this today, and I'm halfway through the first season in one sitting. The set up in episode one seemed a little awkward to begin with but it found its stride very quickly.

Moira is completely magnificent (David too, but mainly Moira). Obviously there is the unique sense of style but I could listen to that often wandering accent all day long.

I love it. David is my favourite. So many good lines.

That mayor though....Ughhh

This is such a good show. Moira Rose is a total QOL.

Ok, very late here but this is amazing !
Moira is hilarious, love David and Stevie’s relationship helped that the vet is hot too. OBSESSED :disco:

I watched the first episode of this and I didn't think much of it AT ALL

SORRY

It’s worth sticking with

The first season was a bit hit and miss for me and some of the main characters really didn’t blossom until further down the line

Only just discovered this but loving it. Catherine O'Hara's line readings are everything.

"Will somebody just PICK UP A HAMMER and NAIL THIS COFFIN SHUT?!" :D

Has anyone seen the Christmas episode?

Actually gagged at the opening scene. “Who needs Aretha when we have you” :D

The Xmas episode was as good as any other, which is a rare achievement.

I don't think it was the sharpest episode but with typically wonderful performances it was enjoyable viewing all the same.

The new season starts in less than two weeks in Canada but I assume the Xmas special was a one off and we'll be back waiting for its Netflix bow.

Christmas special?! Why has Netflix not informed me of this when it's in my list but it informs me about yet another Godzilla cartoon?

LATE to the party as always but I binged the first two seasons in a single weekend and I'm about to start the 3rd one in a bit :disco:

I DON'T do girl talk

you are BLIND to reality and for that I am most PROUD

when saying goodbye ot Jocelyn: It is absolutely TRAGIC that I will NEVER see or speak to you EVER again

oh and the folding cheese bit

MOIRA forever

Vroom vroom bitches :disco:

I can't believe the pop debut of the year passed me by. I'm sure it would only be enhanced by the context of the related episode, if it were available here.

Everybody's got a jet ski (Miami!)
Everybody's got a yacht (party!)
Everybody's got a pool boy (yummy!)
Everybody's got a horse (NEIGH)

:D

:( but it sounds like they're ending it on their own terms and I'm glad it isn't going to be one of those shows that becomes a shadow of its former self (assuming season six isn't a disaster).

Yes on the plus side I have two full seasons still to enjoy. I'm sure they will end it in a very satisfying way too.

There really is a severe lack of good comedy on TV these days, which makes it all the more sad for me

But in the long run it’s better to go out on a high than go on forever

i've decided to give this a chance. i like the characters but it feels really undercooked at the tail end of season 1.
does it ever get funny or does it continue to settle for mildly amusing?

i've blasted my way almost through the entire fourth season. i'm enjoying it muchly. at first the fact it was laugh out loud funny and the feeling the jokes lacked a punchline (or fake clapping afterward) bothered me but now i enjoy it. more importantly i really like the main characters.

all four roses are a lot of fun, it'd probably be easiest to place johnny last if you were hard pressed to rank them but that only says how enjoyable the others are. i love x 3 listening to moira's super convoluted, always wordy, sometimes wrong english.

i mean "confabulate"?

just finished the second episode with tina's the best (when david sings it back) and i shed a little tear. what a great song that is, it's been in my head ever since that lovely patrick cover. their romance is so lovely, i hope they never break up.

oh and remember the bit about the children's choir doing a kylie medley? officially quite good this show.

i'm up to season five as well. really, really enjoying.

not sure if i'm picking up a bit of david face or if i've just always enjoyed exaggerating it.
and i want a signed edition of moira's english dictionary post haste.

Also enjoying S5 very much. Moira's return to the film set was a joy, would loved to have seen more.

Moira is such an icon, we still haven’t gotten season 5 so I’m rewatching the earlier seasons.
