This is a safespace to discuss the worst people on the interne; let's collect the GREATEST HITS.

Starting with this pair who are using gofundme to raise money for their adventure of a lifetime to the country of Africa. I am reminded of a Facebook friend who tried to start a gofundme campaign in 2015 with the description 'hi guys, I haven't been on holiday in two years so it would mean the world to me if you could help me raise the money for two weeks in Barcelona this august' - the comments in response by his friends and family were so good and the campaign was swiftly deleted. :(

But they want to take us all on this huge adventure! The other day I accidentally clicked on some bint's (some minor Irish celebrity) Instagram story about her shopping trip to Aldi. She took pictures of her groceries on the conveyor belt. It was mesmerizing.

My fave pic and comment of his was the one on the Metro train.

I did follow a few make-up queens on Instagram but I got fed up with most of them. Not enough make-up, too much about their lives. I guess skipping "stories" would have made several of them more tolerable but I'm nosey, can't stay out of them.

Influencers are awful

Mrs Hinch can do one

A few years ago one of my colleagues left to become a house-husband and also to run his daughter's blog. We mocked him a lot, but I guess he turned out to be ahead of the curve.

Shitting hell at the examples in this thread though.

I hope climate change or something wipes us out. Fuck knows we deserve it.

I mean I'd like to spend all day videoing myself trying on pants* but I'm FAR....TOO....BUSY

*according to Mr S, I don't watch this shit

Gay influencers are the worst. Like this shit for example

Ah yes, the fitness & health narcissism movement that's been pervading social media for some time now.

I've deleted Instagram altogether - can't be bothered these days.

Gays posting topless selfies for validation has completely ruined Twitter for me. No matter how many you unfollow, they just keep springing up like a narcissistic, body dysmorphic hydra.

It’s the ones who are tiny or maybe have a tiny bit of extra weight who post selfies screaming “fat” that are the worst.

One of my good friends back in NZ is an "Influencer". She's gorgeous, as is her rich fitness-coach fiance. She's "Verified" on Instagram and making big bucks off really not doing much but going to expos for her fiance's company.
It's almost like it's a requirement to have boundless free time to be an "Influencer"

The underpant instagram models are awful, although I do have to admit to frigging myself off to thegaygaston once or three hundred times.

And nabiltaleb, who is quite possibly the most beautiful man I have ever seen.

But other than that, I just like Instagram for pictures of kittens and Cornish beaches :)

Is there anything more to it than being ridiculously photogenic? I mean for example Hollywood is full of pretty people but there are other obvious talent factors separating the Jennifer Lawrences from the Jessica Biels.

Another thing I hate: Orthorexic girls that post pictures of their vegan chia puddings and acai bowls and then proceed to have a CHEAT DAY with awful low-calorie ice cream adorned with 3 chopped up mars bars and sprinkles on top. If you're having a blowout you might as well eat something that's actually NICE!

Posts like that infuriate me

“My dog is dying but here’s a nice photo of my abs”

WTF.

Post a photo of your dog or fuck off

after the colossal success of my latest instagram post where I get my tits out for the likes, I received a dm from this teeth whitening product company page asking me to try a sample of what they sell and as long as I post a pic tagging them they could send me the whole treatment (I would only be paying for postage and shipping)

is this the beginning of Pipo "the" INFLUENCER? frankly I couldn't be arsed. sounds like a lot of work.

"Whitening product"? Skin bleaching like Janet? Or anal bleaching like ME?

I'd say it's a mix of genetics, inherited wealth (Nobody's spending three hours looking for a wall to pose in front of unless they're free from the constraints of capitalism) and just throwing every hashtag you can think of at every picture.

The really strange thing about influencer culture is these unboxing videos. Small children getting famous for opening toys, and then getting sent more toys to open for free, so kids who don't have the toys can look at the toys they can't have? MADNESS.
