For I’m Your Baby Tonight, but it was ditched as they didn’t want her to be a covers artist - and presumably it wasn’t R&B enough. It was released as a bonus track in Japan, though.
 
I kind of love the idea of using lesser Whitney vocals to create “new” music.

This is alright, but it needs a big crescendo bit which it doesn’t quite have- the vocals do, but the music doesn’t match it. But that’s perhaps me rather than the youth of today.
 
I properly love the original Steve Winwood song I never knew the story behind this cover until I looked it up on Wikipedia :disco:

I'm all for a Kygo album full of bops by singers from BEYOND THE GRAVE
 
i adore chaka's backing vocals on the original which i have to say surprisingly seems to be pretty highly regarded amongst my (younger) friends.

not completely sure how i feel about this cover at all but for now i'll say it's all, sadly, very hologram tour.

It’s good, but mainly because it doesn’t really do much with the song, which makes me wish I was just hearing the original anyway. I’ve always been a fan of Whitney’s version of this and also the Steve Winwood one.

I love the original but Whitney's version was always a bit limp and not a patch on Steve W. I'm glad they ditched it off of the "Baby" album proper.

The way this remix messes around with the chorus takes it to another level.
 
I want a PROPER Whitney remixes album now! Surely they must be thinking of something along those lines...

One would hope. Unless there's some cunt in control like that prick who refuses to licence out Aaliyah's back catalogue to anyone.

This came on on the radio (the only time my car has EVER been tuned into Radio 1 :D) when I was driving my nephew around last week and he went NUTS for it. When I asked him, he obviously didn't have a clue who Whitney Houston was.
 
But of course there isn't, given that her estate has allowed this to be released. Bring on the Whitney Remixed Bangerz album then!

I found it on dirrtyremixes! I don’t understand why none of his new remixes are available on streaming - his remix of Cher’s Fernando is an out of body experience!
