She's kind of everywhere at the minute isn't she? Big crossover success outside of the Latin countries feels inevitable at some point.

Obviously there's a lot of quality there as a performer and a lot of sheer STAR POWER but I find it off putting how almost every song off and after El Mal Querer clocks in at like 2:00-2:30 - that's a trend that needs to die immediately.

Aute Cuture is probably my favourite of what I've heard - a banger!

 
I hadn't registered her until I read a positively RAVING review of her Roskilde concert. not saturated yet :disco:

So Rosalía is nominated for Best New Artist (among other noms) in the MTV Video Music Awards. Good for her, but are they for real? Sony spent a fortune before the album was out, with advertisement even in Times Square, but the album did nothing there, and that's the truth. I know she's very loved here, but I was saturated before the album was released, with so many articles talking about "the sensation of the century" and so much marketing. It looks like if they bought the nomination, I don't remember any in such a category for an artist that didn't make the charts in USA at all. I wouldn't be surprised. :rolleyes:

:emoji_flag_mx: If it's referring to someone then it would be "You Will Forget Him/Her"

If it's about a situation then it would be "You Will Forget It" (may be applied to a physical/tangible thing) though I think they would translate it as "Let It Go"?
 
I would say it's the second one, you wouldn't use "lo" to refer to a person, at least here. But who knows.
 
You should say "le vas a olvidar pronto", but some people would use "lo" which isn't correct, but whatever. I have a feeling this is going to be a total mess, but we'll see.

OH I see where you're getting to and I agree but here and in other SA countries we don't say "le".
I may need to revisit some Spanish Netflix shows like Boy Toy or Elite, not because of their shit storylines but to pick up on words we don't use here at all. I once used "liado" in a sentence and got some funny looks :D :(.

Oh yes, that's why I said "at least here", because I assume they correctly use it somewhere else. And anything goes in songs, to be honest. x
