Morning!

For people who profess to be so snowed under that you have to come in and work on a Saturday morning for overtime maybe it would help if you hadn't spent an hour and twenty minutes of the last hour and a half talking about Love Island, gin, what you did at the weekend, eyebrows, hair, nails and dieting.

^^^ Common problem!

I was cheesed off before my shift even started this morning. I keep having to do daily meetings when I have no information and nothing to say. I wouldn't mind BUT there's 2 e-mail lists with all that crap. I'm on neither because politics but they want me to hold meetings for them. :manson:

It's the HOLIDAY SEASON *drones on about SWITZERLAND for three hours*. It was EXPENSIVE was it? WELL FUCK ME WITH A CHAINSAW

On one hand, working somewhere where everyone spends their weekends on a yoga retreat or wild water swimming can be quite tedious.

On the other, anyone attempting to talk about Love Island would get very short shrift.

Who are these people who hang around outside my office doing that awful fake social laughter? If only I was still sat by the window *pulls pin out of grenade*

I just nipped into a quiet corner to fart and there were two people having an intense conversation - difficult to explain why you were there in those circumstances. Why would one person need to head for the one quiet corner on the whole floor?

I went out for my first post op run today and it was muggy, sweaty and ever so satisfying. I then went to pick my son up from the airport, and went for lunch. Now I am cooking up a storm in the kitchen as my daughter is bringing her boyfriend around for tea. Pretty productive day compared to the HELL it has been for the last month.

I have to admit that I'd be a bit confused to see you heading over to the quiet corner alone when it's clearly for gossips and ne'er-do-wells. Nobody in our office is afraid to let rip at their desk and, after excusing themselves verbally, other staff may comment on the loudness, wet-sounding-ness or anything else should they feel that way inclined. And we often do :D

Ooooh, no, not right now. Our office is pretty full and things are bad enough without folk allowing their evil gasses to escape without a thought.

I used to work in an office where at least two of the staff would request not just attention but quiet when they were about to guff. It was childish and yet it could also be highly entertaining, particularly on one occasion where an abnormally long and sonorous fart was met with a co-worker's response of "oh, mine's a Guinness". To this day, I don't understand the association but the timing and delivery had me in hysterics.
